Reading books about nature significantly reduces stress levels and increase positive emotions. Positive emotions open children up to new possibilities and are very important if children have already experienced stress and war trauma.

1. science-based book:
"WILD ANIMALS OF KYIV CITY. EASY AND FUN"

This book is about those wild animals that we can meet in the parks and yards of the city (squirrel, hedgehog, mole, bat, dove, crow, sparrow, woodpecker, european turtle, bug, wasp, ladybird and earthworm).
Cheerful illustrations, as well as bright photographs make the book incredibly exciting, surprising, making you smile and falling in love with the city's nature.
The book has 86 illustrations made by David Levin especially for this book. David is 11 years old. He is from Ukraine.
Award Winner
The book won the competition organized by the Kyiv city administration (Ukraine) in May 2021. It was published for 300 libraries in Kyiv city.
2. Environmental legend based on historical facts:
"ENVIRONMENTAL LEGEND ABOUNT COLORADO (POTATO) BEETLE. FORM MEXICO to UKRAINE"

The book is about how the Colorado beetle got from Mexico to Ukraine. The main character of the book is a cheerful Colorado bug named Ryshik. The book is based on historical facts and makes the reader think about the laws of nature. The book is in Ukrainian. We plan to translate it into Polish and English.
